Approaching Deadlines

I've got deadlines approaching on the brain. Or maybe encroaching on the brain. Anyways, it's August. The month of my birthday, my anniversary and school starting. And Carmel High School starts August 12th. Fortunately, the humidy was low and we made a dent in the "people walking through our backyard problem":


We are over half way done. And look, the grass is growing in!

In October, my brother plans on coming home (Virgina) to marry his fiance. Although finances are tight right now, Stephen and I are trying to figure out a way to attend (we've talked about a road trip with bringing Harley!). I need to make a wedding gift (I was thinking about a comfy blanket for two), a gift for Chloe (she turns 1 in November), a gift for their baby (due sometime late this year/very early next year) and Isabella (so she doesn't feel left out).

So, first, I need to get my blanket done inspired by the painting my mother did for me:
