Week 1 went well but it was as exhausting as I thought it'd be. I counted up 23 meetings!!! 3 of them were working lunches. WTF?! I think it will die down a bit, though. Hopefully.
This weekend wasn't too bad. Thomas is still getting in trouble with his newfound attitude. Especially for not listening. He needs a few timeouts (sometimes back to back) and then he acts normal again. It's infuriating. And he's making James look like the good child again. Which is frightening.
We took the kids to the fair via the state train in Sunday. We only went for 1.5 hours and it went well until the return trip. Thomas decided to stop listening and had a meltdown and James didn't want to sit for more than 2 seconds. It was pretty stressful. And, unfortunately, our new norm.
Tomorrow is my birthday. 35 years old. We probably won't be doing much to celebrate- mid week is just too busy right now.
