On a break from the hospital, I spent Sunday enjoying the beautiful weather and being away from the scrutiny of the nurses. My parents came over with baskets full of tomatoes and eggplant that they had just picked from the farm. Who knew Thomas was a sucker for chocolate tomatoes?
We assumed this was going to be the last weekend Thomas had as an only child. So we did what any reasonable parent would do and let him have a big ice cream sandwich for dinner.
